restoration

24 Dec

sometime ago in my studies in the kabbalah i learned about tikkun olam. now what that is the repairing  or restoration of spirits in the universe. i also had learned that the spirits are not just human spirits but some  nonhuman spirits as well. and the latter seek to lift human souls and spirits up. because  as they do it. they themselves are lifted up.
i had learned today that this my calling in the many lives that i lived. and i might be still doing it in the next lives to come.
i thank the Divine for reminding me this  again today.

the Dybbuk

30 Aug

I decided to write about this since the new movie entitled: the possession  is out as well as  on  an episode of paranormal witness  of the sy fy channel is portraying  is dealing  on this subject.
What is a Dybbuk?
A dybbuk is a spirit that attaches itself to a person, place, and thing.
Mostly it is a human spirit that refuses to move on until it has completes a task.
However it also applys to human spirits as well as non human spirits that are  malevolent in its intentions with the living.
According to the kabbalah these spirits are usually male. And attach themselves to women. And they are usually dispelled by reading passages from the torah or  tanakh. As well as reciting prayers such as a Kaddish.
The spirit is either driven through an open window. Or forced into an object.
Which is then inscribed with certain phrases, prayers, that are in hebrew.
Such as wine cabinet (as seen in the movie and in the the t.v. program.
Jewish mystics he kabbalists feel most hauntings and possessions are caused by Dybbuk.

Shamanism: my chosen path

19 Aug

i write this to explain my  spiritual path. and  the reason that i chosed it.
shamanism is a very ancient path . and has been around long before any organized religion. at least several thousand years before the building of the pyramids in egypt and the ziggurats in mesopotamia.
and it is found in every culture including those cultures where the great monotheistic religions merged from.
i learned in my studies that the founders of these religions such as judaism, christianity, and islam had actually practiced things that shamans of other  cultures practiced. such as making journeys into the wilderness, doing shamanistic meditations and vision quests there.
they spoke to spirits of  other realms (although some would address these as visions of angels) as well as healing and exorcising evil spirits (shamans and followers of wicca would call  this clearing of  negative spirits). to me  WHAT A SHAMAN OR WITCH DOES IS NO DIFFERENT THAN THE CLERGY.
shamans do pray. but it is more a petition for help in their rituals  to the gods and goddesses of their beliefs. they all know of one god and goddess as creators of the universe. but they petition to their children whom are gods and goddesses themselves for their help as well as the spirits.
shamans do perform magick rites. we burn candles and incense. we use a feather to focus on that which we petition the spirits  and the gods  about.
shamans seek partnership with spirits. and for some shamans that is through marrige  to a spirit spouse. such as the shamans of   godi sibera practice such as marriges to ayami is one example and in ancient akkaid shaman priests would marry a ardat lili.
as noted shamans practice  vision  quests  and journeys to the spirit realms through guided meditations. and visualizations.
some speak to fae, and other non human spirits. while others with the spirits of the dead. in the middle east shamans talk to the djinn.
shamans of ancient times would draw a circle when they wish to talk to the spirits. some would use arcane symbols and sigils that are pass from a family member to another. it is only recently that a shaman would share their knowledge to a non relations.
shamans of modern times use symbols that are used by their brothers and sisters of wicca and Magick schools such as the pentagram and hexagram. however it is known that these symbols were used in the ancient middle east as well as  in india and  europe.
as noted shamans are now sharing their knowledge to the world. the reason for this is  as one shaman said: it is time for a global awakening. that each man and woman must listen to father sky and mother earth. and try to  make a change towards peace. and save this world that is our home.

my views about the divine

lilith a succubus weeps by richard g tanzer

i write this as an explanation of  my convictions on what  i believe in. first of all i do believe in a god. that god has been revealed through out history in every religion; in every philosphy. in every belief system. whatever it be as God, adonai, allah, cerunnos, dagda, odin, shiva, etc. i believe that every god in mythology is an avatar of the divine masculine. and that these gods exist as such as well as being his sons. i believe in the goddess. and she too has been revealed in every religion; in every philosphy, in every belief system. whatever she be  as Sophia,  mary the virgin, the Shekinah, Wisdom, allat, shaktai,  frigga, boann,  etc. i believe that every goddess in mythology is an avatar of the divine feminine and these goddesses  exist as such and   are her daughters. i believe there are angels. they serve as  messengers of the divine between the high god/goddess to his/her children the gods and goddesses. i believe in demons or dark entities whom believe that they are outside divine rule. but they are not. for they serve as  testers of  one’s will and faith in the eyes of the divine. even in their hatred of the light in itself is a form of correction. i believe in the existence of beings that exist between angels and demons. and are in service of the gods and goddesses. but are also their children. these beings are called the fae or djinn. their mother is a goddess one of the feminine divine’s first. she is Lilith. it is said she was the wife  of adam qadmon the primodial being father of all. and she is the first eve ;mother of all. however they had other children these were another Adam, Eve, and Lilith. these were the great grand children of the Divine Feminine and Masculine. and like her mother the second Lilith became a mother of newer group of fae and djinn. this is my belief. and although this is what i believe in. it is always changing as i learn something new. i know that  not everyone will share this belief. and i’m certain that they will have strong evidence. to backup their beliefs. i’m always open to new ideas, to new inspirations, to new insights that help my beliefs to grow. for the one thing that the divine asks of us is to love. and be tolerant of others. and always be open minded while staying true to our based convictions. namaste!
